Welcome to Lake Oscawana!
Lake Oscawana is a living treasure. It is a gem of rural, country life, but is located an hour north of New York City. It is a place where trees outnumber people, where lanes of interstate blacktop become unpaved winding roads surrounded by acres of undeveloped land.,. Many residents are families that have come to the lake for 3,4,5 generations. This is the legacy we want to preserve for future generations.
For many decades Lake Oscawana has been a haven for those who appreciate outdoor living and understand that we are stewards of the lake and its community.
LOCA is an association of member families who reside along the shores of the Lake and within its watershed. LOCA functions as a civic group focusing on the health of the Lake, the management of its resources and the preservation of its natural beauty.
LOCA provides a voice for our neighbors on civic and community issues. It organizes educational activities and hosts social events. It presents views to the Town Board and other government committees on proposals impacting conditions in the Lake and on its shores. LOCA’s general membership meetings are held each June and August. An active Board of Directors meets monthly throughout the year. We encourage all residents to participate in LOCA .
We look forward to hearing from you and LOCA enlists your active support to ensure that many future generations will be able to continue to enjoy Lake Oscawana.
Sincerely,
